This work of mine portrays a couple on their way back home, lost in the conversation. One can note the goats sitting peacefully in the background, depicting rustic village scenes. The stances and attitudes of the folk depicted are controlled and muted and they exemplify certain hidden understanding and bonding between them which reaches out to the viewer.
The lady clad in effervescent sarees with subtle prints, and man projecting an unrivaled sense of authenticity in traditional, organic colors. It depicts an ethereal, rural Telangana where women hang safety pins at their mangalsutra and men wear silver amulets.
The lady can be seen with the carry bag, whereas the man carrying a black umbrella and the steel tiffin boxes are just a few of the minute details that help the painting narrate a story of their own and merge with an Indian conscience that has been woven in with a delicate hand.
